When it boils down to it, an illusionist is basically someone who is skilled at the art of deception. By being a specialist in that area, BJ’s insight allows him to communicate truth in a way that is not only creative and refreshing, but also memorable and effective. For the past 10 years of his life, BJ has been studying how people think, so that he can alter their sense of reality and cause them to see or believe things that simply aren’t true…all for the sake of entertainment. The art of magic and illusion is based upon that premise of fooling the senses in an effort to create wonder.
But according to BJ, that talent has created a problem. "Now that I know how easily it is to be deceived, I see people all over the world buying into lies that simply aren’t true," says BJ. He continues, "Not only are they being deceived, they're living their lives based on that deception in hopes they'll find meaning, purpose, and happiness. It's my goal to show them how easily it is to be deceived, and help them learn to search for truth—truth that can give them the lasting meaning, purpose, and happiness they long for."
